A series of activities and some assets of the "Institute of Political Science, University of Munich" are supported and initiated by an association bearing the official name "Association of Friends of the Institute of Political Science, University of Munich" hereafter referred to as "Association".

The Association not only allows its members to actively participate in the various activities of the University, but also considers itself as a platform to maintain contacts with University students and with the University itself.

As its members are entitled to participate in University activities and in the traditional annual meeting, the Association has the status of an Alumni association.
